What is Big Lifts?

Think personal training, but with a compact crew of like-minded warriors by your side.

The focus is, unsurprisingly, the three big lifts: squat, deadlift and bench press, and classes will be structured to help attendees master correct form for each, whilst also providing the tools and techniques needed to progress.

The programme provides one class per week for 8 weeks, and covers the
fundamentals of the Big Three. The course break-down is as follows:

Week 1: Bracing, breathing and squats part 1
Week 2: Squats part 2
Week 3: Deadlift part 1
Week 4: Deadlift part 2
Week 5: Pull-up part 1 and shoulder press
Week 6: Bench press
Week 7: Squat part 3 and pull-up part 2
Week 8: Deadlift part 3 and press part 3

There are two class options available: Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM with
Sam, which runs from April 10th to May 29th, or Thursday Mornings at 6:00 AM with Leo, taking place from April 11th to May 30th. Each has a capacity of just six, so spots are very limited.

Whatever your level; whether you’ve been benching for years or you’re just a beginner, Big Lifts can help you inch closer to your goals.

How?

Well, for starters, you’ll learn how to execute each move with perfect
form which, aside from reducing your risk of injury (you know what they say about building on weak foundations), will eventually enable you to lift heavier.

You’ll establish your baseline – how much you can comfortably lift without
compromising on form – as well as a plan of attack for improving throughout the programme and beyond.
