Leo Vitelli comes to One Academy with an Obstacle Course Racing background, having competed in over 100 events. His interest lies primarily in longer endurance events, like the 36 hour multi-stage race he completed in January 2017. Leo credits his interest and aptitude for long, physically exhausting events in part to his former occupation in hard physical labour, at which he worked for over a decade.
He hopes to bring some of his racing and training experience, as well as some of his life experience to the team, helping people overcome their own obstacles and achieve their goals.

Sam, originally a One Academy member, came here in search of a community as passionate about health and fitness as herself. Her personal fitness journey took her from fat loss to muscle gain, bodybuilding to powerlifting, and injury rehabilitation to injury prevention. Everything she experienced and everything she learned brought her to obstacle course racing, where she now competes in high-adrenaline short courses and limit-testing feats of endurance. As a coach, she loves providing knowledge, direction and support to those who, like her, have a relentless focus on achieving their goals.

Tess graduated from Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree, with honours, in kinesiology. Her focus was in athletic therapy, and she received her massage therapy diploma from Sutherland-Chan.
Tess is extremely passionate about rehabilitative science and holistic manual therapy. She combines a technical approach to treating musculoskeletal impairments and pain within a holistic framework.
In university, Tess was an athletic trainer for the Queen’s university men’s and women’s hockey teams. Tess’s intrinsic knowledge of the importance of engaging in physical activity and nature is due, in part, to the fact that she comes from a very outdoorsy family. Her parents own an outdoor adventure company that focuses on paddling (white water and tripping) as well as teaching wilderness/whitewater rescue courses. In her spare time, Tess loves being outdoors, whether it’s hiking, paddling or cycling.
Currently taking a neurokinetic theory and contemporary medical acupuncture course, Tess balances her learning with working as a swimming instructor and coach.
