We’re back in action at 858 Eastern Ave, and we’re excited to share some key updates that ensure the highest standard of safety when you visit One Academy®.

Training

INDOOR GROUP FITNESS

We’re pumped to welcome you back to the pit for signature HiFlux™ group training! Capacity is limited to 24 people per class, to ensure physical distancing can be maintained.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Indoor Personal Training is in full swing. Our Personal Trainers are here yo help you get back into the gym safely and confidently. Train one-on-one or Semi-Private Personal Training sessions at 858. Virtual & Outdoor Personal Training are also available if you’re not ready to return to the gym just yet. To get started, complete this form

OPEN GYM

We are stoked to offer members the opportunity to train in our new Open Gym area.

You will have access to cardio & strength training equipment. Capacity is  limited to adhere to restrictions and maintain social distancing. Unlimited 858 Memberships and in-person Class Packs can be used for Open Gym. Book your spot through Mindbody.

When you arrive for your session, please check in with Front Desk.

CHANGE ROOMS

Change rooms with showers and lockers are available for use.

TOWEL SERVICE

Full towel service is available. Please ensure you place used towels in the allocated baskets.

CAFE

The Cafe is open! Fuel up with your coffee, tea, smoothies, water, and protein bars, and more.

Proof of Vaccination

Under the directive of the Ontario government, as of September 22, 2021, it will be required for all visitors of One Academy to show proof of vaccination (2 doses + 14 days) to access indoor services at 858 Eastern Ave.

Q: What does fully vaccinated mean?

A: People are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization.

Q: Will I have to show my vaccine receipt each time I check-in at One Academy?

A: We will keep your vaccination status on file, so that you do not need to show your documentation each time. Please complete THIS FORM or submit your 2nd dose vaccine receipt to info@oneacademylife.com.

If you do not wish to keep your status on file, you will be required to show your proof of vaccination each time you check-in. 

Q: Is proof of a negative COVID-19 test accepted in place of full vaccination?

A: No, under the government guidelines, a negative COVID-19 test result does not provide exemption from showing proof of vaccination. 

Q: Are One Academy employees and coaches required to be fully vaccinated?

A: Yes, all staff, coaches, and practitioners at One Academy are required to be fully vaccinated.

Q: If I’m not fully vaccinated and I don’t plan to be, what happens to my account?

A: Please let us know at info@oneacademylife.com if you will not be returning to indoor training.

Monthly Unlimited Memberships: You may pause your membership for the duration of the time you are unable to train at One Academy, or transfer your membership to a Virtual Unlimited membership. 

6 Month or Annual Membership: We will pause your membership and extend it for the duration of the suspension, or you may continue to take OA Virtual classes. 

Class Packs & Single Classes: We will extend the expiry date of your class pack, or you may transfer the value of your remaining classes to OA Virtual classes. 

Q: How can I submit an exemption for medical or religious grounds?

A: If you are seeking an exemption, please follow the below steps and submit the exemption request to info@oneacademylife.com 

  • Medical Exemptions: Please provide a signed Doctor’s note from your practitioner that states you are not advised to get the COVID-19 vaccine for medical reasons. 
  • Religious Exemptions: Please provide a written and signed statement from a recognized figure in your religious organization, stating that you are a member of this organization and that the vaccine is against your genuine religious beliefs.

Q: If I show proof of full vaccination, do I still need to wear a mask inside?

A: Yes, you must wear a mask at all times in the facility unless you are actively exercising, using the showers, or consuming food/drink.

Q: What if I don’t want to disclose my vaccination status to One Academy?

A: It is up to you if you wish to disclose your vaccination status. Under the policy set out by the Ontario Government, if you do not to provide proof of full vaccination, you will not be permitted access indoor services at One Academy.

Q: How can I continue to train with One Academy if I am not vaccinated?

A: We offer live virtual classes 7 days a week through One Academy Virtual and outdoor training options such as Run Crew or outdoor Personal Training

Q: How are you keeping my information safe?

A: Your documentation will only be available to staff members who require access to verify your vaccination status as part of their assigned job duties. 

Screen and Clean

KEEPING THE COMMUNITY SAFE:

  • Everyone entering One Academy will be screened with health assessment questions.
  • We provide a contact-less check-in process for classes and wellness appointments.
  • Please arrive within 5-10 minutes from the start of your session or appointment for a smooth check in process.
  • All guests at 858 Eastern are required to wear a mask at all times inside the facility when not exercising.
  • Please stay home if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone who exhibits symptoms or has had COVID-19.

FACILITY UPDATES:

  • We’ve installed plexiglass at our front desk for safe check ins.
  • We’ve installed a new gate at the front door, to reduce contact and congestion when entering and exiting the facility.
  • Our huge garage door is  open during operating hours for maximum fresh air flow.
  • Our new HVAC return air system brings in fresh air from outside, with a commercial grade exhaust fan taking out the air from inside.
  • Our new Open Gym area provides ample space for distanced Personal Training and independent workouts.
  • You will see physical distancing signage markers to help you stay Stronger at 6ft.

CLEANING MEASURES:

  • We use hospital grade cleaning product, Benefect, to disinfect your equipment before and after class.
  • Sanitization stations with Benefect and hand sanitizer throughout the gym floor for sanitizing equipment during your workout.
  • Frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available for all guests.

STAFF PPE:

  • One Academy staff will wear PPE at all times.
  • All staff will undergo health screening questions prior to shift.
