Position Overview
We’re seeking a motivated, energetic, and knowledgeable Group Fitness Coach to join our elite coaching team at our brand new Ottawa, ON location in The Glebe.
As a One Academy Coach, you’ll lead group classes that combine strength, conditioning, and endurance training, while fostering a motivating, inclusive, and safe training environment.
You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional coaching experiences, ensuring proper movement standards, and helping every member — from first-timers to competitive athletes — reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach high-energy group fitness classes following One Academy programming and training standards
- Provide individualized attention within the group setting, offering modifications and progressions as needed
- Ensure proper technique, safety, and performance for all participants
- Create a motivating, inclusive, and community-driven atmosphere in every session
- Represent the One Academy brand and uphold our culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork
- Participate in coach development sessions and stay up-to-date on best practices in fitness, recovery, and performance
Qualifications
- Certified fitness professional (e.g., CanFitPro, NASM, ACE, or equivalent).
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Personal liability insurance required
- Available for non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum 1–2 years of group training experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills
- A genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals and become stronger — inside and out
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset

- Audition: This is the fun part! Deliver a modified HiFLUX class to demonstrate coaching ability, energy, and understanding of the programming
- Interview: Meet with our leadership team to discuss philosophy, fit, and expectations
- Onboarding: Successful candidates will complete our One Academy Coach Training Program to learn our systems, standards, and community culture
